Terms of use.
By reading SeasonQi you agree to a few simple things: use the content for personal, non-commercial understanding; do not republish it as your own; remember that it is cultural and educational, not medical advice; and own your own health decisions.
1. What SeasonQi is — and is not
SeasonQi publishes articles, guides, and a free Element Compass tool covering Chinese seasonal wellness, food, movement, rituals, and the 24 solar terms. The content is cultural and educational. It draws on the traditional Chinese wellness framework, on seasonal eating, on the Chinese body clock, on qigong and breath practice, and on incense and tea ritual — explained for modern Western readers.
SeasonQi is not a medical service. Nothing on this website is a diagnosis, a treatment, a cure, or a substitute for professional medical or psychological care. Do not use SeasonQi as a reason to delay seeing a clinician, or to replace advice your doctor, psychiatrist, or licensed TCM practitioner has already given you.
2. Intended use
SeasonQi is intended for personal reading, personal learning, and personal seasonal practice. The Element Compass tool is intended as a starting point for reflection, not as a personality test, fortune-telling device, or professional consultation.
You may:
- Read every article on the site without creating an account.
- Share links to any SeasonQi page.
- Quote short excerpts (under 200 words) with attribution and a link back to the source.
- Use the Element Compass for yourself or with family and friends for non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Republish full articles on another website, in a print publication, or in a paid product.
- Use SeasonQi content to train a machine learning model or to feed it into a dataset.
- Scrape the site at high volume or in a way that interferes with normal visitors.
- Present SeasonQi content as your own original work.
- Use SeasonQi as the basis of any paid advice, paid coaching, or paid consultation, unless you are a licensed professional operating within your license and you attribute the source.
3. Your responsibility
Your health is your own. The choices you make about food, movement, sleep, herbs, breath practice, incense, and the rest of what SeasonQi writes about are choices you make as an adult, for yourself. If you have a chronic condition, are pregnant or nursing, take medication, are managing a mental health condition, or have any specific concern, please consult a qualified professional before changing your routine based on something you read here.
Specifically: Chinese herbs and foods mentioned in SeasonQi articles can interact with medications, allergies, and medical conditions. The site does not give dosage guidance for herbs and is not a substitute for a consultation with a licensed TCM practitioner or a registered dietitian.
4. Editorial integrity
SeasonQi articles are written and reviewed by the SeasonQi editorial team. We draw on traditional Chinese wellness frameworks, on modern research where it is available, and on general reference works (including Wikipedia as a starting point for cross-checking cultural context). We do not accept paid placements, sponsored articles, or affiliate links inside article body text. Premium tier upgrades, when relevant to an article, are clearly labeled and never the reason an article exists.
If an article contains an error, we correct it and move the date at the bottom of the article. If you spot something we have wrong, please write to Seasonqioffical@gmail.com.
5. Content updates
SeasonQi is a living site. Articles are reviewed and updated as the seasons and the 24 solar terms rotate. A piece on a winter warming ritual may be edited in spring to point readers toward the relevant new article. Editorial updates do not change the meaning of a piece; they keep it useful across the year.
The "Last updated" date at the bottom of each page reflects the most recent material change.
6. Premium tier
Premium is an optional paid tier that unlocks additional storage of saved Element Compass readings on your own device. Premium is purchased through Stripe under their terms of service. Refunds are handled by SeasonQi on a case-by-case basis — write to Seasonqioffical@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase if the experience did not meet your expectation.
Premium does not include any medical, psychological, financial, or relationship advice. The Premium experience is the same content as the free tier, with a small storage convenience layered on top.
7. Support and contact
The fastest way to reach the team is Seasonqioffical@gmail.com. We read every message. Response time is usually within a few business days. We do not have a phone line, a chat widget, or a ticket system. Email is the channel.
8. Liability
SeasonQi is provided "as is," with no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. The team behind SeasonQi is not liable for any outcome — positive or negative — that follows from reading the site or trying a practice described on it. Where the site recommends consulting a professional, that recommendation is part of the agreement: by using SeasonQi you accept that you are responsible for knowing when a question is beyond the scope of cultural and educational writing.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change anything material — what you may do with the content, what we promise you, or how Premium works — we update this page and move the date below. The previous version is preserved in our site archive if you need to compare.
