1. What SeasonQi is — and is not

SeasonQi is a static content website about Chinese seasonal wellness, food, movement, rituals, and the 24 solar terms. We publish articles and a free Element Compass tool that reads a birth date and time. We do not run a desktop app, a mobile app, a user account system, a payment processor on our own servers, or a newsletter signup.

This page is about the website at seasonqi.com. If you arrived at SeasonQi from a different domain, that domain's own privacy policy applies to its collection of your visit.

2. Information we collect

When you visit SeasonQi, the following minimal technical information is collected automatically:

• Basic visit data via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — page viewed, rough geographic region (country / city level), browser type, device type, and referrer. GA4 does not collect your IP address in a personally identifiable way under our configuration.
• Standard web server logs — IP address, request path, user-agent, timestamp. These logs are kept for security and abuse detection and are rotated on a regular schedule.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, mailing address, or any personal profile unless you choose to email us. If you email us at Seasonqioffical@gmail.com, we receive whatever you write and the email address you sent it from. We use that only to reply.

3. The Element Compass tool

The Element Compass asks for a birth date, birth time, and the option to provide a name and email. What you submit:

• Birth date and time — processed entirely in your browser using a client-side JavaScript file (zwds-engine.js) to calculate your element. Nothing is sent to our servers.
• Name and email — these are optional and only collected if you fill them in. They are passed to our payment partner (Stripe) if and only if you choose the paid Premium tier, so that a receipt can be issued.

The Element Compass tool does not store your input on our servers. Closing the page ends the session. Refreshing the page starts a fresh calculation.

4. Premium tier and Stripe

If you choose to upgrade to SeasonQi Premium, you are sent to a Stripe-hosted checkout page (Stripe is a third-party payment processor). Stripe collects your payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive, from Stripe, only the fact that a purchase was completed and the email address you provided to Stripe, so we can deliver the Premium experience. We never see your card number.

5. Cookies

SeasonQi does not set any first-party tracking cookies. GA4 sets its own first-party cookies for the purpose of counting unique visits and distinguishing new vs. returning visitors. These cookies expire automatically. You can block or delete them in your browser settings without losing access to any part of SeasonQi.

6. Children

SeasonQi is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has emailed us, please contact us at Seasonqioffical@gmail.com and we will delete the message.

7. Cultural content, not data collection

SeasonQi does not sell user data, rent email lists, share behavioral profiles, or run advertising. We do not have a "data business." We have a website. If our business model changes in a way that touches your data — for example, adding a newsletter, an account, or a community feature — this page will be updated before that change ships, and the date at the bottom will move.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time:

• What information we hold about you (if you have emailed us).
• To delete information you have sent us.
• To clarify any part of this policy.

9. Updates to this policy

If we change anything material — what we collect, who we share it with, or how long we keep it — we update this page and move the date below. The previous version is preserved in our site archive if you need to compare.
